Thank you for the first listens

This is the week people start saying what they're thankful for, so here's mine. Thank you for pressing play.

When you're making music, you spend months alone with a song. You hear it so many times that you stop being able to tell whether it's any good. Then it goes out into the world, and the only thing that matters is that somebody, somewhere, listens to it all the way through.

Every first listen means something to me. It's someone giving three or four minutes of their day to a song they've never heard, from a band they might not have heard of. That's a real gift, and I don't take it lightly.

If you've shared a song with a friend, saved it to a playlist, or turned it up in the car, you've done more for the band than you probably know. It's how songs find people.

So thank you. I hope the next one is worth your time too.
