We're in the studio
The short version: we're making a new album.
The band is in the studio now, working on a record for spring 2027. Fifteen songs. Some of them are brand new and have never been played for anybody. Some of them are songs you may already know from the solo side, built back up for a full band and made for a stage.
I've wanted to write that sentence for a while, and it still feels a little unreal on the page. Most of this year has been about getting the songs right, one at a time, and now they're all in a room together, working out how they sit next to each other.
I'm not going to tell you the track list yet. We'll announce titles and a date when they're ready, and not before. What I can say is what it sounds like: beach country with the volume turned up, written by somebody who lives near the water.
This blog is going to be the place where I keep you posted along the way. Not every day is exciting in a studio. Plenty of it is listening to the same four bars again. But I'll tell you what's going on, and I'll try to make the boring parts worth reading.
