What the DAG stands for

People ask about the name, so here it is. DAG is my initials: David Alan Graham. The band is the part of my music that turns the volume up.

I make quieter songs under my own name, the kind you play on a porch when the sun is going down. The DAG Band is where the louder songs live, the ones with a big chorus and a lot of guitar, built for a Friday night when you want the windows down and everybody singing.

I didn't want to hide the connection. It's the same writer and the same voice, just pointed at a different kind of evening. If you like one, there's a decent chance you'll like the other, and if you only like one, that's fine too. There's room for both on the shelf.

So when you see the name, think of it as an invitation. DAG for David, Alan, Graham, and Band for everybody else who ends up in the room. Come on in. Bring a friend who knows the chorus, or doesn't yet.
